SCS Mediterannean Citris?

I am looking for a nice citrus aftershave. Could someone please tell me . . what type of citrus scent the SCS Mediterannean Citrus has? Is it lemon, orange, lime? Or some mixture? Thanks.

Heaven in a bottle. A mixture of what you mentioned is a great interpretation IMO. It is excellent stuff that I hold as a top AS scent along and feels great on the face.

I am a fan of the Med. Citrus as well. I get mostly lime and lemon and happy face. SCS's aftershaves are top shelf. You would be hard pressed to find better at any price point.

I can't find a review of this stuff here. I seem to remember reading something about it a few months ago, but now I can't find any reviews. Am I missing something? For those who have used this stuff, I think it would be a good product to review.

Not much, if any, orange in it, but it's definitely not a pure lime scent. So I'm guessing a mix of lemons and limes. Has more menthol than her Lime EO splash, but slightly less alcohol.

Goes on smooth, smells great, then gives a tiny bit of menthol kick, then finishes with making your face feel outstanding, just like all of her aftershaves do.:thumbup1:

Good mini-review :001_smile I pulled my sample out to sniff (this will be one that I order a full bottle of), and I agree with the above. However, when I re-applied a bit - I happened to use it this morning - I get hints of orange peel as well. I'd like to emphasize, Sue's AS have the skin "goodies" some of the other ones lack....they do protect and soften your skin. Add in generous sample sizes, made in USA, excellent customer service (you'll see Sue posting here), and the low prices....it's a no-brainer.

Wow! you've sold me. When you say there are "skin goodies" in there . . does that include glycerin?

I will have to check the bottle at home but Sue utilizes allatonin in many of her splashes. It is very nice on the face.

Yes there is glycerin in it. The suggested use says use sparingly and definitely do so because it can overwhelm if you use too much, as with any product but with SCS ASB/AS do go a long way.

I am going to be honest here and say that I do not enjoy SCS Med Citrus. I dont complain about the tackiness because I am use to Musgo and no how to use the stuff. I just dont enjoy the heavy alcohol scent and the lackluster citrus scent. Em's place citrus AS is a citrus explosion but the SCS just didnt do it for me in the scent department.

What's Em's Place citrus After Shave??

» Lime Citrus blend - Lime, Orange, Sandalwood Mysore, Jasmine, Frankincense, Lemongrass, Lemon, Mandarin and Geranium. Light, upbeat, zesty aroma for the lime enthusiast! Has a lime and mild citrus overtone with a subtle sandalwood and jasmine undertone providing body to the blend. Citrus oils are high in antiseptic properties. Not for use before sun exposure due to high citrus oil content.

After shave skin freshener and astringent. This pure witch hazel distillate is the real thing. Has a mild, earthy scent from the witch hazel and essential oils with no added alcohol to tone and tighten. Great for face and body anytime. #mn-was

Ingredients: Hamamelis virginana (Witch Hazel), Distillate, Glycerin, Simmondsia chinensis (Jojoba), Oil, Tocopheryl Acetate (Vit. E), Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract, Salix nigra (Black Willow Bark) Extract, Citrus grandis (Grapefruit ) Seed Extract and and Essential oils of Lavendula officinalis (Lavender) and Melaleuca alternifolia (Tee Tree).

I prefer this AS personally. No alcohol scent at all. Well...no alcohol.

Sorry but that does not help me. What's the name of the manufacturer? In other words what name do I put into the Google space to find out more about the stuff or even order it?

What a confusing web site. Normally if someone has a product to recommend they mention the product manufacturer and the scent . . . like "TOBS has a great citrus scent . . called Eton College. Give it a try." This Em's place at first looks like a distributor, with names like Trumper, Proraso, and Musco Real, etc. Then I have to take it upon myself to read more about the owner and find out she started out pressing flowers and evolved into men's toiletries . . OK I still haven't found this terrific citrus scent you people are recommending. So I keep looking on the site. Then amidst all the confusing links on this site (many including known international brands like Proraso) I find a very small listing for After shaves. So I click it and scroll down. The closest thing I can find is somethning called Lime Citrus. You're really making me work hard here. So, after all these vague, and obscure attempts to point me in the right direction, am I correct in assuming that this is the product you're referring to? . . this Lime Citrus? Made by some unknown manufacturer, listed on this distributor's web site? Is this it?

Em's website is confusing. However, she is a well-established vendor and her own products are very good. Can't help with your citrus AS search, however.

Med citrus is an outstanding product, IMHO. Great face feel if not overapplied and a very nice citrus scent.
