Alpa aftershaves

In search of some recent input on these splashes.

I’ve read that 378 was supposed to be similar to Irisch Moos but I’m also curious about some of the others and I haven’t been able to find much info on them. Every place I see them for sale lists the exact same description, which is just the general very basic scent notes. I’m hoping someone might have some more detailed info regarding the scents of these that can help steer me towards what might be worth trying and what to pass on.

Alpa Windsor
-wood citrus and herbal

Alpa Cool
-woody, spicy, floral, herbal

Alpa Windsor Fresh
-citrus and woods

Yep I can confirm the 378 was a super close Irisch moos. Haven't seen it in a long time though. Cant comment on the othe Alpa scents but their regular Windsor is a really gentle baby powers type scent. Really, really nice but again not seen it in a while. If you get hold of some of the Alpa violet, just a dab will last all day, again really nice.

I find the 378 to be a more refined (older) version to the - to me at least - rather brash 70s style Irisch Moos.

The Windsor is for me a classic 50s European Cologne style, yes soft Talcum is there but other stuff as well to give it some character and edges. Aqua Velva could be a distant cousin.

All of the ALPA colognes and aftershaves are fantastic . There is both an aftershave and a cologne for the Windsor . The Fougere comes in a large bottle , mine is many years old and in heavy glass . The violet and Lily of the Valley are not feminine and can be worn by any man . Really great products as is their shaving cream .

+1 on the Fougere, that one is fantastic
The Chyphre is a sweet but light scent from the 20s that took me a while to appreciate.

Only have Windsor, as it was the only Alpa available at the location of purchase.
I think it is a really nice old-school aftershave, as so many are from Central Europe.

Thank you all for all of the info. I realize I'm a bit late with the reply, but I went ahead and picked up 378 and Windsor Fresh.

I'm undecided on how I feel about 378 at the moment, but was very pleasantly surprised by Windsor Fresh. As the description states, the scent is woody-citrus and I'm not sure if its the propolis in it but my skin felt pretty amazing.

I think I'll go back and grab the regular Windsor as well.
