SCS Cream Help

I have read Kyle's Very V review a few times. But today when i shaved i was struck by the old disappearing lather trick. I made two attempts and I got the same result. Each time i slowly increase the water amount as i mixed the cream. I couldn't see if i over shot the sweet spot, or if i stopped before the magic happened. Also to note this is my first use of a cream, i have used soaps up to this point. Any thoughts?

Try this:

Face lather. Start with a mostly dry brush. Work the cream onto your face. After the cream has been spread over you face and into the brush start adding water to your brush. Just a few drops before working the brush a bit. Then a few more drops. Repeat until lather has thickened. It will not be as thick and creamy as most lathers but it is quite slick.

Almost forgot, SCS creams tend to separate over time and during shipping so give the tub a good stir before giving it another go.
