Since the Talisker 18 is getting so hard to find, I tend to limit my swilling for special occasions. But hey, the stuff's for drinking, not hoarding like Faberge eggs or something.

I love blends. Can't beat Teacher's & ginger ale, or JWB on the rocks.

I find myself intrigued by the Glenfiddich cask-strength 15 that's out now. But I really shouldn't be buying more whisky....

Lots of places.... Trader Joe's (home of the $30 Laphroaig), Goody Goody & Spec's in Texas, K&L Wines in CA have all been good to me.

I don't have a collection. It's a drinking cabinet. Everything is open and it all turns over rather quickly. Right now I have about 20 bottles. Everything from Cragganmore 12 Year to Highland Park 30.

I don't really have one. Variety is the spice of life. I do find myself hitting the Highland Park 15 quite a bit lately.

My wife got me the bottle of 30 Year Old Highland Park. I don't tap into that one nearly as often as I should.

Single malts, blends, vatted, japanese, bourbon, rye, canadian, indian, microdistilled...all whisk(e)y really.

Glenlivet 12, Glenfiddich 12, Dewars 12, JW Black. Those are all pretty inexpensive and I won't snub my nose at any of them.

It's really whatever tickles my fancy. I'd like a bottle of Macallan 18 but who knows where my eye and budget will take me.

Without going downstairs to count, I would guess about 30 bottles of Single Malt. Heavily leaning towards the islands; Islay, Skye, Orkney

That depends on the time of year and the situation- I tend to drink heavier malts in cold weather and something lighter when it is warm.

I am lucky enough to have a few "special" bottles. A couple of nights ago I sampled my bottle of 40yo Glen Grant which was terrific, even though my normal preference is for an Island whisky.
