Welcome to Schicktober 2012, this thread will be a Month-long Lovefest for Schick Razors of all types; the DE Krona and any Schick Injector, photos are encouraged, especially those all-metal F types(the only one I'm still wanting). Kicking off this month I'll be using my recently purchased Gold-Tone Schick Krona DE, my first DE shave since the first week of March. I completed a two-pass shave minutes ago, couldn't wait to get things started, and face lathered some Tabac Soap with my Penworks "Austin Powers" Best Badger. I finished up with a splash of Tabac AS and I'm enjoying the cool night air here in Las Vegas.

I'm looking forward to seeing the Schick's you guys have in your rotation, Happy Shaving.

Had a great shave this AM with my Schick E3. I'm going to have to rotate my E3 and L3 ( Thanks mftoms59) until I can get my hands on a few more.

So today a Krona (very generous PIF from Ron V, much thanks again) with Feather. Great razor/blade combo. Also works well with Voskhods. Not so well with Wilkies.
Tomorrow? Probably one of my 2 "G" Injectors. I keep 1 loaded with Personna 74 and the other with Schick (China) blades. mftoms59 very graciously PIF'd 1 with a cartridge of Personna blades and I found another here. I also found 55 Personna blades in original packaging that I couldn't pass up.
So Schiktober will be a pleasure for me. I'll put new blades in 2 of my Schicks, the Chinese blade has only been used twice, and shave on.

I like them and they last but they are rougher on my face than the Chinese Schicks. Thanks again for enabling my love for Schicks, I'm on the hunt for a Hydromagic!

Jay, I had the same results from the 74's though most seem to like them, I'd recommend the Schick Plus Platinum blades, my favorites by far. Keep checking the B/S/T for the hydro or post a want to buy, the ones on the bay are usually pricey.

Thanks for the heads up, I'll look for some Plus Plats. Yeah the bay is getting crazy these days!

Day 2 of Schicktober and another DFS with the E3 . The lineup looked like this:

I started the month with my "F" injector (pictured above) and will stick with it for a week.

Razor: F

Soaps: Arko and VdH Deluxe
A/S: My AVP blend (50:50 AV Musk and Pinaud Lime Sec)

I use the Gold-Tone Krona/Dorco-301 SS(2) & face lathered Tabac/Semogue 1460, a smooth two-pass was achieved. Tomorrow it's time for a return to my Beloved Injectors, switching to the J4-Schick 500/ NOS Gillette blade.

Dusted off the Schick Grip for a shave today with an ASR blade.

Had my first shave with the Schick Adjustable (M1 I think). Fresh Chinese Schick blade. Benton Clay Vetiver Paradisi and a Vie Long 12705.
Dialed it up to 6 on the WTG, XTG, to 3 for ATG and buffing.

Came out with a joyful DFS. I need some practice but I think I might be hooked.

This morning's shave was with the recently purchased Schick Hydro 500/ NOS Gillette injector blade, I had an enjoyable face lather of Tabac with my Semogue 1438 on its fourth lather. I completed an effortless two-pass shave, the 500 is slightly less mild than the J1, otherwise they are both comfortable in use due to the long handle. Though I only completed a two-pass, I did have enough lather left in the brush for a third, pretty impressive from a smallish Boar (50/22) that's still being broken-in.

I was happy to return to my injectors, the primary weapon of choice this year, I rarely use my DE's anymore and my Gems had been dormant until the SEptember thread. I'll use the 500 for the next two weeks and rotate to my recently purchased Schick Lady Eversharp, Beige/ Gold-Tone Injector which has the Hydro lever, for the remainder of the month.

Used the M1 adjustable again, with second shave on the blade, Mystic Waters Bay Rum, SC boar.

Happy becase I got past my boar/MW problem.
Also got a near BBS in 3 passes.

Great shaver, just not liking the handle which wants to twist 90 deg in my hands....
