Schick Type C instructions

Congrats on purchasing one of the most finely crafted razors ever.

Originally, they came with a blade cartridge that was loaded into the end of the handle. To change blades, you would twist the head so it was in line with the handle, pulled out the end which loaded a blade from the cartridge, then pushed the end back in which inserted a blade into the head whilst pushing the old one out. If your razor didn't come with a cartridge, you will have to procure on or load the blades by hand from a modern cartridge of blades.

Nice Tim!

Thanks for the pics Gary. Can't wait to try it out although I'm testing various DE blades at the moment. The craftsmanship on this razor really is a sight to behold, and I see many Schicks in my future.

Beav, that's a beauty. Does the blade sit snugly once its loaded. Mine, unfortunately, sits a little loosely.

It seems to for now. It had the original blades in it along with a brass blank. Not sure what that's for. Anyway I just pushed a few of the old blades out and the new ones seem to seat perfectly. This razor hasn't been used much so maybe that's why.
