Schick Krona in dated case with blades and instructions

My parents know that I've been getting into this whole wetshaving thing for last few months. While on a recent vacation, they found this in an antique store. They sent it to me in the mail with a note, asking if this was anything I could use.

Since I'm still new to this, I had to do a little research. Looks like a damn-near mint Schick Krona, plus the case, blades, and a set of instructions. Also, from doing the research, it seems like it's generally difficult to pin down the exact dates for Kronas. Well, this fella has 1965 stamped on the bottom of the case. Hopefully that proves to be useful for anyone looking to date their Krona.

They also found an old 1921 Bigelow-Parkin travel razor, the kind you have to squeeze together with your thumb and forefinger. Unfortunately, one of the hinges is broken. All in all, they sent me a pretty sweet haul!

A good score! One for mum & dad! I found one like that and darn it the razor had sat some kind of heat and the case partly molded into both the razor and blades. Grr. Couldn't get it unstuck without some surgery.

I found something similar at my local antique store, but without blades or instructions. After some cleaning I tried it out. It reminded me of shaving with a Gillette Red Tip: Close, comfortable, and not at all aggressive. You found a terrific shaver - one of my favorites!
