Scents NEVER to combine?

I'm not just new to SR shaving, but I've just started exploring the world of aftershave scents and scented shave soaps outside of the local pharmacy shelves. But when one aftershave fails to cool the burn after shaving with a soap of matching scent, I look to others in my collection which have actually worked in that department before, wondering if it wouldnt smell all bad after shaving with that differently-scented soap (starting to wish I bought only unscented soap) .

If you could combine any of the following:
Almond
Lime
Sandalwood
Bay rum
Peppercorns (i. e., Ogallala Bay Rum, Limes, and Peppercorns),

which of the above would you NEVER combine?

Are you asking what soap might clash with a certain scent of AS? Honestly, i've never had a problem with it. I don't put much thought into what AS might smell best after the soap or cream I just used. I'm sure everyone has their own experiences and opinions in the matter. AS, to me, will override the smell of the soap. having said that....the better question might be....which AS will enhance the scent of the soap you just used. idk.....mabye i'm off track. I use what i feel like using. I'm pretty sure, the only person that likes my AS is me anyway....lol.

You're probably right, that most *** should override most soaps. But just in case this doesnt happen effectively enough, I was concerned that there could be a really bad combination. If the scent of red pizza could be worn on the face, somebody may commit the hideous crime of mixing orange with it by the logic that another fruit, pinneapple has sold pretty well on pizza. I would just go with my own nose, but I'm finding that I haven't the keenest sensitivity there, especially with products containing alcohol.
