savile row 3722 silvertip

looking for opinions on this brush. It'll be my first and want to know if anyone had the pleasure or displeasure of using it. yeah...im a noob. :closedeye

The 3722 should be an excellent brush. I had one of the older ones when they had the longer loft and liked it quite a bit. Sold it for some reason. Now I have a 3824 and love it. I really like the handle shape of the 3722 and with its shorter loft it should be a winner. The SR series of brushes are all highly regarded.

Perfect! That was what I needed to hear. Thanks so much. I'm really glad I found and became a member of this forum. I've learned so much from everyone in the short time I've been a part of it.

I bought a SR3722 (based on Charles' recommendation at QED) a couple of weeks ago. I really like it alot! I also bought a Rooney 3/1 in Super at the same time time. The Savile Row fells much more luxurious and IMHO is better made. The Rooney has shedded 8-10 hairs and the SR nary a one. To me the SR has just the right amount of backbone for lathering and tips that are the softest of any brush I have ever used. For $98 I cannot imagine getting a finer brush!

It's normal for a new brush to shed a few hairs. 8-10 is nothing. If it's shedding excessively or doesn't stop shedding, you need to call the vendor you bought it from.

I've done so much research on brushes here in the last few days that If I go wrong with this brush I'd be extremely disappointed. Everyone on here has been so helpful. I should also add that Charles was a pleasure to deal with and he has a new customer for a long time.

How long ago were they coming with a longer loft? I've got a 3122 that's about 1 year old, would this be with the long or short loft?

I just ordered a 3120. Can't wait! I've had two other Savile Rows in the past, the longer lofted 3824 and 3122. Both were excellent. I can't remember why I sold them. It was nothing to do with their performance or quality, just my preferences at the time for short lofted scrubbiness.

After having owned several Rooneys and Simpsons (which are no doubt denser, but tend to hog the lather), I believe the Savile Rows are exceptional value!
