Saint Charles Shave Santalum Album (Sandalwood) EDT

Hi there, does anyone have any experience w/ SCS Santalum Album EDT? I don't have any sandalwood frags and I love vetiver, and I can't speak highly enough of SCS's Very V EDT. I figured I would take a chance and try a relatively pure sandalwood based frag. This one doesn't really come up on anyone's top sandalwood list but I'm curious if it's more about its low popularity or if it is just substandard.

I do remember hearing good things about Saint Charles sandalwood (used to be at least two types). Think it is just under the radar. Have almost ordered samples several times but didn't; probably my loss.

I have used SCS Sandalwood and it's OK but I specifically wanted something that was less sweet. SCS is a little on the perfume side and although it's a very nice scent, it was not for me.

Interesting, I didn't envision it as sweet. I ordered it because the price was so reasonable. So, I'll see what you mean soon enough. I felt that way about the Very V frag they make, it was definitely "perfumy" with strong florals in the top, but it calmed down and I thought the vetiver was awesome and long lasting.

SCS' sandalwood AS is excellent. If I want to just wear a sandalwood AS, I go with D.R. Harris. If I want to wear a predominantly sandalwood frag, I go with SCS. I tried some of the test versions of the Santalum, but I don't know what the final version is like. Interested to hear your review.
