Could someone help me correlate the standard blade gap on a 1953 Super Speed to a number setting on a Slim adjustable. For example, would it be similar to a setting of 5?

According to this chart, the SS is equal to the Slim and Fat Boy on 3. The Slim and Fat Boy's settings are equal, by the way.

...And in my experience (I have a couple of 40's SS's, a few 50's flare-tip SS's, a black-handled SS and a Slim or three) this is exactly true.

Thanks to both of you. This works out nicely since I normally use my slim and fatboy at 3 except for Feather blade which I use 2 for day one use.
Ha! Guess we're shaving twins: this is exactly my routine, even down to dialing down for the first shave with a Feather!!
