Rain rain go away...
guess what its doing in the chicago area. Woke up to day with a stream in my basement making its way to the finished area. Got most of it up but gotta watch the sump tonight...
buddys in the area had water up to his 5th stair in his sub-basement. Another buddy that lives close to a river got completly surrounded by it, couldn't leave his place if he wanted... He could but he'd have to do it by canoe.
On the bright side, (between the fight)i had time to get this from the mail box!

don't you love the post office! My roommate says "I didn't think the mail would run today with the flooding" I says "oh they will run, they always run"

nice looking piece of equipment!

on a side note all the islands are flooded over through Aurora and Montgomery. The Fox River looks like an ocean.

Yeah it's been really bad. My commute to work in the western suburbs (Oak Brook) usually takes 30 minutes and the last two days it's been almost two hours due to
parts of 22nd and 31st street being closed. I finally passed Brookfield Zoo today and it's practically underwater. The Des Plaines river and Salt Creek are the highest I think I've ever seen them.
