Ask me about shaving naked!
I buy it by the gallon.
I admire anyone that buys WD-40 by the gallon. You and Outback Mike!

Does this also work with celluloid scales? Or is celluloid easily damaged by WD-40?That will clean up well with WD40 and 000 steel wool. Polish with 0000 steel wool and any good metal polish.
WD40 will also clean up between the scales with a wooden coffee stir stick and paper towel,
Will not harm wood or the etch.
Thank you very much for this info. I'll try it on my "new" Puma razor.Yup, fine on celluloid, wood, horn, plastics, Gutta Percha and ivory.
Heat and moisture in a confined space are what cause Celluloid to kick off.
Never had an issue with WD40. Squirt them down inside and out with WD40 and clean between the scales with a paper towel and coffee stir stick, clip off one end with a pair of side cutters so you can scrape stubborn soap build up off.
