Russian Feather Popular copy or same production line?

I am sure some of you must have seen this one on the bay as well but I could not find a thread about it.

It looks like a copy of a Feather popular but so far I have never ever seen anyone claim that the Feather is actually made in Japan. This made me wonder, could this razor be from the same production line?

Usually knock-offs have more obvious differences and I doubt the Feather Popular is so much sought after to make an exact copy profitable.

They don't exactly look alike. I would say this is the cheap model from a Russian razor company (they also manufacture an adjustable). A poster that once lived in the USSR said the adjustable likely came from the same molds as the razors made in the USSR's heyday and the head of this one looks suspiciously like the head from the adjustable. There is a thread on here about the adjustable but I don't have a link -- sorry.

Thanks, I know which adjustable you are referring to. In Russia, the razor adjusts you.

It's clear from the label on the package that the razor is sold by Slav'co company. I bought a razor "Восход" of the same company recently. It's made in China which is printed on the other side of it's package. The quality of the razor head is unbelievable awful. So I'm afraid this razor is of the same origin and quality. I'm sure that the seller on eBay simply cut off the part of the photo where the country of origin is printed. The cheap shaving brushes of the same company are made in China too and are of the same awful quality. Though for the same price it's possible to buy Czech Sporkar brushes which are just perfect for the price.

I think that was me who posted the info. But I was referring to my Rubin-1 ,Soviet produced razor,a nice copy of the typical 60's era Gillette adjustables,as compared to the current Russian made adjustables being sold under various names on ebay,Voskhod,Sputnik and a few others.I do not think the current ones are as good as the heavier Rubin-1 razors, and I judge that by all the comments made on this forum by users of the current production razors..The above razor looks very lightweight, and does not resemble the Rubin-1.

The black plastic on the bottom of the head made me think of the Rubin-1. Obviously the non-adjustable with a plastic handle won't completely resemble an adjustable. The razor pictured here looked like a cheap knock-off without an adjustment option but I could be wrong on both counts.
