RR aftershave wax users?

I've been interested in trying the RR aftershave wax, especially the 888 variation as I love eucalyptus. Can any users comment with opinions on the strength of it's scent? And does the scent linger for a long time? Powerful scents tend to make me ill, and even fairly mild ones can after a while. I do use proraso pre-post as a post shave balm from time to time and it gives me no problems. Is the 888 similar in scent? Thanks in advance for your opinions!

888 has a pleasant, mild scent and doesn't tend to linger too long, but you should be able to smell it for a little while anyway. It has eucalyptus as does Proraso pre-shave but no menthol...if you can use that I think you should be ok with the 888 wax.

can't answer on the 888 olfactory notes, but give me a few days as I just got it on order lol - I was recently traded the regular RR aftershave wax and I'm simply in love with it!!! (hence the new order at italian barbershop.com)

My jar of 888 came delivered today, in time to use with today's shave. Happy to report that the scent agrees with me and disappears in quick enough order! Very soothing, my face feels great tonight.

+1. Great product. A little goes a long way. Scent is mild and not very long lived for me.

If you like the scent, use should try the 888 ASL in the spray bottle. Great cool menthol feel, but scent not overpowering. Don't let the fact this is an ASL fool you, it is very soothing with no burn. Took me a while to get used ot the spray bottle, but I really like this stuff.
