Rooney Finest Beehive?

Can one of you Rooney junkies tell me if they made a beehive in finest, if so I will be embarking on the impossible task.:tongue_sm

As far as I can recall, Rooney only made their standard sizes in finest, and then they did a special run of their Stubby brushes in finest.

I've never seen one, but there might be a possibility they have. I saw a Finest Emillion on classicshaving.com awhile back. That was after the first wave of what they sold. Just awhile later they had some more brushes up and the Emillion was there. I never had seen or heard of an Emillion in Finest before.

No offense or anything, but the new Heritage is in no way comparable to Finest.
They are much, much softer.
Not a bad brush, just nothing at all like Finest

Sounds like an excuse for me to get a new heritage right here, just to check it's not better. To the internet!

Regards Grant

Are the Heritage brushes really that bad? And what is so great about Finest?

IMO, they are quite good. The knots in the three band Heritage Super are really dense, with great backbone and silky soft tips. The Finest knots have incredibly resilient backbone.

Are the Heritage brushes really that bad?

I suppose I should clarify when I'm that down on a brush. The old Three-band Heritage was fantastic. Very dense and great performers. In fact, you can still buy a few brushes in Three-band Heritage, while they last.

It's the new Two-band Heritage that I'm not a fan of.
I had a Stubby 2 and a Emillion, and neither were very dense at all. In addition, they had very little backbone - the Stubby had such a tall loft that it was practically floppy!

Having said that, it looks like the Stubby XL series really were designed with my criticisms in mind. They are extraordinarily dense, and all have very short lofts. I hope Jim will be able to get them back in stock soon. :thumbup1:

And what is so great about Finest?

To me, Finest brushes are everything great about a badger brush turned up to 11.

First off, they are incredibly dense. Only my Chubby 2 and Shavemac D01 have come close. Insanely, unbelievable strong backbone. I mean, we're talking like the shocks on a F350. Hands down much, much more backbone than any other brush I have tried. All the other Two-bands on the market today? Don't hold a candle to Rooney Finest. In addition, the hairs have amazing cloud-soft tips.
Using them is an incredible experience.

Rooney Finest brushes are so good that as soon as I got one I immediately sold off all of the brushes I owned in search of more like it. So far, the only brushes I've found that can match a Finest in performance is another Finest.
