RIP Martin.
I haven't found a citation for this, but I recall MM doing this, to the tune of Country Roads. My memory could be failing me.

He was quite the amateur musician, and no slouch on the guitar!

As Phil (Luvmysuper) told me, that was probably Mark Russell.

Oh my. This one caught me by surprise.

Fernwood 2 Night is a show we still watch from time to time. Hysterically funny even almost five decades later.

The chemistry between Mull and Willard was special.

Now they're both gone. And leisure suits still cause cancer.

Mull was great in Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman where he had 2 roles, but Fernwood 2 Night/America 2 Night with Mull, Willard and "Happy Kyne" were favorites of my wife and I. My wife and I even saw Mull and Willard on tour in the early 80s.

As an aside, when I was in art school, I had a teacher who had been in art school with Martin Mull. He used to say that Martin drew better than anyone else.
