Replacing cleaver handle tutorial?

Guys, I am interested in making a project out of replacing the handle on a Chinese cleaver I recently bought (there's pics of it in a thread around here somewhere). I am looking for a tutorial on replacing Eastern style handles that goes from removing the old handle all the way to installing the new one.

Can anyone point me in the right direction? Googled a bit but couldn't really find anything.

Thanks for any info you can offer! :)

Not that I have experience in this but is it a 3 pins handle, pushed in, plastic, etc? Looking at Eastern style handle on google doesn't show me what it should be...

usually it means a press fit or peened tang. Sometimes it means one pin. This is a typical example:

Normally those wooden handles just have a long square spike tang running though the whole length. They are glued and the end of the tang is folded over and hammered flush with the butt.
