Replacement/Project Grates

I have recently acquired a project grill. I was walking my dog last week and came upon a very sturdy sidebox smoker that had been discarded. It's pretty rusty, dirty, and needs some minor repair but it's otherwise solid. I'm thinking I might need new grates and was wondering if anyone knew of a source for such things. I'd prefer cast iron but realize that this might not be possible. Suggestions are appreciated.

Your user name indicates that something might work weber grills and others would be easy to access, you could adjust the opening with some flat stock?

I've got a little Smokey Joe, for which the www.cast-iron-grate.com link may be useful, but this project grill is a sizeable horizontal drum smoker/grill. The grates are ~16" x 32" and the ones there now are a little small. I could always use expanded metal, but getting access to a welder for reinforcement would be problematic.

Go to Lowes or Home Depot they carry factory replacements.
This is a grill that someone obviously made out of steel. It's a sort of non-standard size (16" x 32" Grates by my measurements).

I'm thinking the metal fabricator route is the best option. I'll make some phone calls.
