RED Tip recommendation?

I use an HD with an Iridium blade with great success. I have a tough beard but sensitive skin.

I once tried a Red Tip and used it with both Feather and Derby blades. The results were bad for me. I found the shaves were irritating.

I would like to try the Red Tip again but this time with Iridium blades in hopes the shaves will be smoother.

Would anyone care to advise me on this combination? Thanks in advance for your time and recommendations.

When I shave with my Red Tip I use an Personna blade in the red wrapping,commonly referred to as a Personna Red.
It seems to me like the two go together very well.

The last time I had my Red Tip out I used Iridium blades. Seemed like a good shave to me. Next time you load a blade in your Red Tip, be sure to scrutinize the blade gap and exposure. Everything should be equal and symmetrical.

the red tip isn't that aggressive. I use it with a red personna for a CCS. Used it with an astra for a DFS, and a feather for a near BBS.
So the iridium should be good, but I haven't used that blade in that razor yet.

I've had good luck with both Red IPs and Sharks.
