Stirling Black Cherry was kind of a fun hit for me. I didn't order it for a long time, because I thought, do I want to smell like cherry? It smells just like cherry tootsie pops! But the soap scent doesn't really hang around after rinsing, and the aftershave smells like a sort of cologne/cherry hybrid and is quite nice.
There is one a citrus soap/cream which I think dominates on the market and it is "Saponificio Bignoli Agrumi del Mediterraneo". A beautiful and natural scent of lemon, orange and mandarin. It also performs very well.
Vines Vintage Shave Cream – shaved yesterday with it for the first time & is definitely more slick than Proraso Red (Sandlewood) cream (2013 purchase, so old formula). Only thing I can compare too for slickness as new to DE shaving & have this dialed in now. Instantly identify it as citrus (tangy & sharp character) with perhaps a ‘tea’ character as well. Smell remains throughout the day, though not strong as I forget about it & then it pops up again. Not experienced with describing qualities of smell but when people talk about a ‘citrus’ character, had no reference but this immediately described that for me, if being artificial in nature. It is a very soft cream (thought I had been ripped off) basically ‘foam’ like, but only need a small amount for 3+ passes & had over hydrated it so careful with the water.
‘Another Cut Above’ on youtube did a couple of reviews on this product and was very impressed with it. He managed to get it very cheaply, but cost me $20 Australian delivered.
