There's an everReady faux wood and translucent amber handle on eBay right now that I think would make a great restore job. Only thing I'd warn ya about is the knot looks synth, and I find vintage synths really hard to remove (drilling them out melts them, which makes them harder to get out and is a mess). Looks like some scuffing on the faux wood too.
It's got a $23 BIN.. so not cheap, but I haven't seen a brush like it before and I'm a sucker for trans amber. Thought maybe someone still restoring brushes might like it.
