Real Shaving Company creams

I havent really noticed a difference between them. I won't touch a form.

Overall, these are a good cream Very functional and of very good quality for a low price.

I doubt the foam will come close to what you can get from their creams and a good brush. From what I have heard they have an affiliation with the Taylor line - not sure on the specifics. I have only tried the sensitive but they are fantastic creams IMO :thumbup1:

I've got the sensitive (tube) and the moisturising (limited edition tub).

Both lather REALLY well...nice and slick with lots of cushion.
The sensitive has (slightly) less scent.

There are fewer ingredients in the sensitive (no parabens).
I (just) prefer the moisturising cream. But the sensitive mixes better with soaps to make "superlather"

Not seen their foam and probably wouldn't bother about it anyway.

They make Taylor, Truefitt & Hill, and Trumper shaving creams.

The moisturizing cream has cocoa butter, the sensitive does not. Cocoa butter is highly comedogenic, so I stick with the sensitive.

They make all those? Hmm. I'm going to have to give it another shot. (I have the sensitive.) I was less than thrilled with the lather I got using a brush but it could be the bowl I was using was too large. I want to love all of my accoutrements, so I'm going to have to try this again. (Especially with that heritage!)

I feel pretty good about the cream. I've only tried sensitive, and I love the presence of tea tree oil, I feel like it's relatively skin-clearing though I've not studied it scientifically. Plus, available locally at a great price (I got mine buy one, get one half off so $7.50 for 300 ml of cream). However I have to say, I'm not generating as great of lather as with my other products. Workable, but not flawless billowy lather like the body shop cream for instance.

How much product is everyone else using for Real Shaving Co?

I use the same amount of cream as I use with Taylors or Body Shop. RSC is made by the same company that makes both of those (Creightons) and the lather it creates is similar in texture to any of the English creams I've tried, IMHO.

That's funny - I suspected that the Body Shop cream was made by one of the 3T makers, but I had no idea that they were all made by the same parent company. Not sure how I feel about that actually, but glad that they make a cheap line like the RSC brand - going to have to give that one a try!

Hey, I notice something called Real Shaving Company Shaving Gel at my local Rite Aid.

It comes in the same kind of tube as the creams and was located right next to them. Anyone know anything about it?

K.T.

TRSC creams are made by Creightons, who make most high-end English creams.

I've used the cooling one (the one with menthol) and think its decent (I'm more of a soap guy) and has a nice traditional barbershop scent. They're also good value, especially if you pick them up on sale.

The gel is a different beast altogether and while I've not tried it, I suspect its in the same vein as all other gels such as KoS, etc.

I have used the RSC Moisturising version. It's an easy lathering, slick cream, and a great value from RiteAid. I don't care at all for the heavy cologne scent, though. Too overpowering for me. I much prefer my Omega and Erasmic, my top 2 so far.

I tried the Moisturising Version. It's a great find. Lathered up really nice. Great value and easy to find at Rite-Aid.
