Razorock GC 68 Handle

After having used many razors over the years, have finally narrowed in on THE razor that provides an effortless shave every single time for me.

The RR GC 68.

I'm looking to change it up in terms of the handle. Currently using the HD handle and like the length (82mm) and weight of it.

Would appreciate something that looks sleek and maybe a little slimmer

Any stainless steel handle suggestions welcome. Better yet show me yours!

Thanks

Vintage fat looks pretty good!

Go with the thin if you want sleeker.

It does look good indeed, especially the thinner one (which might work better for me).
Did not realise this was a razorrock handle - thanks for the recommendation!

Also looking at handles that might not have any knurling, does not have to be a razorrock handle!

Would like to build a small rotation of handles to change things up

Apologies if this is opening up a very deep rabbit hole, but you could always go custom!

I have a foundness for untextured colourful handles.

Mine are made by a guy called Handyman 1973 in China. Depending on your part of the world, MRed and Elite Razors do similar work.

Custom brush makers should be able to do the same thing. They are made from Alumilite resin, same thing a lot of brush makers use.

Where can I find this maker, Etsy, eBay?

Cheers thanks. I was mostly curious about the 1973 guy. The other two I’ve heard of, thanks for all the thinks.

The RR Vintage Thin is the perfect balance for my GC 68.

Of Razorock offerings, I have had:

- HD
- UFO
- Barber Pole
- Radio Knob

The UFO handle is most similar to the HD in weight / length, and also is a nice combo with the GC 0.68, as it really leans into the whole "stainless steel Tech" thing that razor has going on.

I have the vintage fat on my GC like @lasta has pictured. I really like the length and weight. It's just long/short enough that I can hold it with three fingers and a thumb with my pinky finger on the bottom. I also have the Barber Pole, but I don't like it nearly as much as the vintage thick bar. I've not tried the thin bar.

Girth Matters....
Big preference for 13mm ish diameter handles..
Thou not a collector of vintage handles, just me..

Yes, it is a feel thing. I do like the bite on some nice raised knurling...
Thou I do have the RR new super halo. Did not like at first, then it grew on me...

RR GC ...are super great precision tools that do not break the bank, and they perform great ( in the right hands and face) plus they look good to.
Low profile heads a another plus all around pie holes, where other clunkers fail.
Canadian made...

I am grateful for the ones I have & use : 68 OC, 76 SB, 84 SB & OC & 1.05 SB...
Hoping down the road OCs are created for the 1.05 and 76! Do I need it no! Pure want and just to have adds the the variety...

How much do these handles cost? 🤔

I don't have a Game Changer but I do have a Lupo and have tried several of the RR handles with it. Once I tried it with the vintage Thin Bar handle it was transformed into my favorite razor. It just feels so right now. I know it's all personal preference but it may be worth a try for you. To give you a general idea how your GC would look on the Thin Bar handle here is a photo of my Lupo.

Mred makes handles, but they are too expensive in my opinion
In addition to having a certain "not really light" weight
They are nice handles, personally I would never buy one

I'm not a big fan of their design choices, but I do like their high-contrast press-formed resins!

Apparently, that's not something you can do at home.

My guess is they source it from the same place as Shavemac.
