It's just 3 weeks till razorcon 3 and just wanted to invite anyone in the area to drop in and say hello. It will be held for the 3rd year hear in asheville NC the first weekend in June. the focus as always is all things straight razor! We will have a small outdoor shop set up to learn some of those hands on things that you may still have some questions about, as well as lectures from some of the custom razor makers. And don't forget the free food and raffles! Again all are welcome and admission is free again this year! if you need more info or an itinerary / directions drop me a line at [email protected]. Is this a free event?
I googled "razorcon 3" but did not learn much more about the event. It is a bit far for a day trip so I probably will not come. Is the focus on demonstrating straights to newies, how to maintain and hone, or something else? Thanks.
Anywhere near North Carolina would be close enough for *this* event!
The focus is on everything to do with straight razor shaving.
Honeing, Stropping, Care and Feeding, Restoration, you name it someone there will be able to help you out.
I've heard that there will be anywhere from 2 - 4 different razorsmiths attending. I was planning on driving out from Oklahoma, but my finances got reallocated.
If you're able to go, it will be well worth the effort.
