What's new

razor ID

i got this razor last weekend

on the underside of the head it says "miller" "made in usa" and "patent pending"

on the top of the head it says "once over shave" and "close shave"

so i know it was made by miller in the US but have no clue as to year of production or anything, ive just never seen a razor where half of the head looks almost like its reversed

So, how does it shave? Do you notice a difference between the two levels of aggressiveness? What common razors do the two sides compare to in terms of their shave?

I am curious what may be listed about this razor in Waits Compendium . . . Alex, you available???

BTW - Welcome to Badger and Blade!! Hope you enjoy hanging around here as much as I do!!

Not much in Waits other than the Miller Safety Razor Corp was located in New York City. Their ad says " The scientific revers curve of the Miller Razor assures a swift, clean once over or close shave of satin smoothness". Miller also made DE blades but any brand would work in the Miller. No dates of manufacture is listed.

It looks like 1 end is normal with the blade in a downward position. The other end looks abnormal with the blade in an upward position. If this forces the blade to take the same shape, then would the end with the upward blade might make shaving ATG easier. Just a theory.

I'm really interested in knowing how it shaves.

Thats what I got too. Not much............

so i shaved with this razor earlier, the regular side shaved good although mild, i prefer a more aggressive razor, i havent shaved with alot of OC razors but i have a bostonian in my rotation and and it is much more mild than that, maybe like a slim adjustable on on a 2 or 3 at most, the other side, i have no clue how to explain it, if you hold the razor at the same angle that you would normally use it the blade is almost perpendicular to your face so im not really sure what to think about that, i will try my best to get a good picture of the blade gap tomorrow i tried earlier and couldent get a good picture with my cell phone

The box gave it away

Okay okay, I know it is a Pearl. :biggrin1: My bad... It was a stupid question.
So, I was looking for more information about it on the internet, and I found nothing. For example manufacturer, date, country, etc. But I did not find it.
Thanks!
