Razor for shaving with a fractured elbow

I fell off my kick scooter yesterday and hurt my left are and have a sore right shoulder. I do not want to worry with a DE, so who makes a decent disposable or inexpensive shaver that I can use for two months while I heal?

do you mean the cheap single blade white bics? I was wondering about those.

Yeah, the head is white and the handle/cover are orange. They're pretty mild, don't have a lube strip, and the single blade definitely reduces irritation. IMO they're probably the best "commonly" available thing to shave with. They're getting harder to find though. My first razor was a Sensor Excel, then Mach 3, then (briefly) Fusion, before settling on the Schick Quattro basically until I found out about wet shaving and B&B. I picked up a pack after reading the reviews, and I couldn't be happier with them. Dirt cheap and shaves good. What more do you want?

In your case, with an injured elbow limiting mobility, you might want a pivot, though. AFAIK there are no single blade pivots, leaving you with the choice of the Gillette Sensor et al. I have no experience with Bic's other disposables except the Discomfort 3, which I do not recommend.

Sounds painful Paul. Ouch. :mad3:

Now would also be a good time to try out a Schick Injector, as it's very much like shaving with a cartridge razor. :thumbup1:

You could also use this opportunity to take the new Schick Hydro 3 for a spin. I have been playing around with it lately, and found it to be a very good product.

I am going to try and locate some of those cheap single blade bics. I am thinking that DG, Wally's World, or Big Lots might have them. :) I like the idea of the Schick Injector but I can not get one "cheap" or local today. :)

OK now I am thr proud owner of a 12 pack of Bic single blade disposables from Wally's Word for $2.50 I will give them a shot and see how they work for me while I get better. Thank you for all the help.
