I received a Slim Adjustable from Ctakim in a PIF. It's in good shape shave wise, but the finish is pretty bad. I've tried cleaning it up with Wright's Silver Creme and with MaaS Metal Polish as was suggested but it still has brass coloring on the handle in several places. Does anyone know what else I might be able to try to make it shine again and restore the finish. Would a replate help....not worried about selling it later because I love the shave. If a replate were necessary....what does that usually go for?

If it is down to brass, no amount of polish will bring the nickel shine back, because the nickel has been polished away.

What about a replate? What does that normally cost for a Slim Adjustable or what's a reasonable price range one should expect?
I would like to know as well. And would like to know who does replating. Thanks, John
