What's new

Quorum

Just received a bottle of Quorum in the mail today. Smells damn good. Really damn good. Hopefully SWMBO feels the same way!

I quite like Quorum, my SWMBO does NOT like it however (I am 27 and she says it is too old-man for me?) I wear it when I'm not spending much time with her so I don't have to hear how bad I smell.

Hell, I'm in my 30s. And I abhor the 'old-man' scents. Definitely don't get the old man vibe from this.

Quorum is yet another once great scent that's been irreparably damaged by the 'scent police' limits on the use of oakmoss and treemoss in toiletries.

My Dad used to wear Quorum in the late 80's I guess. I haven't smelled it in years. I may have to find a bottle.

Yes, the new Quorum is much tamer than the old version - but I like it better. My bottle of old Quorum reminds me of an old, well-used horse saddle, but the newer bottle doesn't.
Cheers,
Renato

Bought a bottle of EDT about a month ago on a recommendation from Max Heusler as an alternative to another of the big powerhouse scents from the late 80's early 90's, Fendi Uomo. Have to admit the Quorum certainly punches above it's weight, especially considering the price it can be had for these days.

This is one of my favourite scents ever, I love the mixture of tobacco, leather and pine, is like manliness bottled, smells like no other fragrance I have smelt

I guess that it has been reformulated over the years because of the oak moss thing ... however it still a fantastic cologne at a fantastic price.

I've been wearing quorum for a month now during the summer and... oh boy... it's just great! Absolutely fabulous longevity and can't get enough of the smell. Grey Flannel seems to tickle the same senses, but as for me the current (I'm not sure of the others) formula turns to bitterish smoky wood too soon. With Quorum (copyright 1993 says the label), I've have no such problems at all.

(Better yet, it was also launched the same year I was! As was Drakkar and... and...)

Great scent at a great price, perhaps not really a good-weather one. I have recently acquired a bottle of original formulation, which is quite magnificent, very dense in comparison to current version, which still is streets ahead of 99% of modern fragrances. The Puig house has other great scents at cheap prices, I would recommend them to anyone with an interest in fragrances.

As with every rule, there is an exception. Women are forever trying to make men grow up faster. Except when it comes to fragrance. They stand on the brakes.

I am so happy to see Quorum getting some love. I think it is great, too. I wish I had some of the original formula to compare.
