Quick help on a Schick adjustable injector

I keep reading about the Schick's here and remembered I had one tucked away. Found it but need to make a minor repair. The number dial fell off and must be reglued. How does it orient? When I dial all the way clockwise should it be on the 1 or #8 dot?

If you hold it in front of you with the handle pointing at the floor the 8 is at the 6 o'clock position if it's wide open.
