Questions about a stand that will fir my brush

Hey everyone,

Been looking for a nice stand for my razor/brush. I initially thought of this one from WCS which I really like:

http://www.westcoastshaving.com/West-Coast-Shaving-301-Razor-and-Brush-Stand-Chrome_p_1754.html

But a guy from WCS said that my brush wouldn't fit in there. The above stand is listed as 27mm for the brush opening. I am unsure what my brush size is, I have forgotten the model number. This is my brush:

The guy from WCS says that it is possibly this:

http://www.westcoastshaving.com/Edw...ger-Shaving-Brush-Imitation-Ebony_p_1738.html

He suggested this stand, which would fit my brush:

http://www.westcoastshaving.com/Omega-27mm-Chrome-Shaving-Brush-and-Razor-Stand_p_492.html

I don't like it as much though, and just noticed that the measurements for this say:

"Opening: 25mm
Internal Diameter: 27mm"

Which seems like it is the same as the other one I liked? So what is the difference here?

After some searching, I saw some stands similar to the initial one I liked, from Liojuny. For example:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/LIOJUNY-SHA...437?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4ac693230d

He has variants of 27mm, 30mm and 32mm (this is assuming his measurements are accurate).

So which one would I need? I'm quite lost.

Thanks!

Decide whether the brush will be placed in the stand where the knot meets the handle or where it narrows near the foot of the handle and measure that dimension. That measurement will tell which stands will or won't work.

I figure it would look better to have the brush hanging by the bottom most part of the base. This brush has so many ridges though, I'm not confident of measuring it properly especially since the difference between 27mm - 32mm is small.

Should I just buy the biggest one? Since the handle is wider by the base, it shouldn't slip out right?

Has anyone else ever bought one of these Liojuny stands? How well are they made and what is the quality like?

Thanks!

I measured the circumference of the part I would hang my brush from. It is 10cm. From there I calculated the diameter which is roughly 3.18cm = 31.8mm. So I am going to assume that the 32mm is what I probably need for this. Hopefully I am doing these calculations correct.

Also from my calculations would seem that the knot is 7.5mm circumference, and the diameter would be 2.38mm = 23.8mm. This would also mean that the brush I linked to on the WCS site is not the one I have.

The WCS site also lists that brush as "Total Height: 180mm" which can't possibly be right? That's one tall brush. They then go on to list it as "Handle Height: 54mm Loft: 54mm" which when you add up is 108. I measured the height of mine, and it is roughly that. The handle and loft are also about 54 and 54 like the WCS brush.

I'm so confused as to what is going on here haha. I wish I know what this brush was.

For a large knot I use the same stand but place the brush at 45°, like this Omega 49:

It should work with any brush and any knot size.

Haha thanks for the tip! I would really like to pick up a stand that looks like this though:

So I need to somehow figure out for sure what size I need... I am starting to think I should just go for the 32mm one.

I glued a 1 1/4' flat neo magnet to the brush and a large fender washer under a shelf, the brush sticks to the washer, and I don't have to worry about a stand. Plus it was cheap, 2.25 for the magnet and .43 for a washer.
