Question on Speick Shave Stick

I'm not a face latherer. I just get irritation from it. So, my question is simply whether the Speick stick is soft enough to take out and smoosh into a bowl?

Thanks!!

You may need to use a cheese grater on it.

you can find these at thrift shops an if you don't come across one, you can get a plastic one for $10 +/- online. $20 +/- for a metal one

The Speick stick is hard like a soap puck. It won't smoosh too easily.

One thing you could try is to take a pocket knife and shave off a thin slice of the stick into a lather bowl and go from there. I did this with a stick of TOBS once - just cut off a bit of the soap, drop it into my lather bowl and then lather it up. That was in fact my normal use of that TOBS stick.

Have you tried it with Speick yet? It's supposed to be fairly non-irritating. If it irritates your skin the normal way, then I would grate it into a bowl, smoosh it down and use it that way.

I was going to ask the same thing but thought I might not get back to the tread to followup.

I "think" the irritation may come from the brush not the actual soap. Could be wrong but I would lean more to it being too much "scrubbing" with a stiff brush and not soap (unless the OP has some serious allergies to certain things that might be contained in shaving soap).

Using a shaving brush improperly can rip you up (mashing it down and grunting away on your face with a prickly dead animal)... Ewwww....

I used a grater on a stick of LaToja. Then smooshd those pieces into a bowl. You'll have to do the same with the speick. But it should make a perfecty useable puck.

Push it thru the Food Processor like grating cheese, then stick the Food Processor grater and container in the dishwasher. Bada Boom, Bada Bing...your done.

I bought a $3 grater at Walmart and turned my Speick stick into a shaving puck (pressed it into a glass dessert bowl). Works well.
I am enjoying the Speick. It bowl lathers well.

I used a grater purchased at Walmart on my stick pf Speick, it worked just fine.

Put it in the freezer for 30 minutes before starting, and the grated very easily.
