Question for our German members...

Gents,

I have been looking to buy the Speick shaving stick, but can't seem to find it anywhere! I can find Tabac, Irisch Moos and the Spieck cream and AS in shops here, but not the stick. (Though clearly i have stocked up on all of those too )

I know i can buy this from an online vendor i use in the UK, but would prefer to buy here from a shop....it is made in Germany after all, so i am assuming it is also sold here?

Which shops here sell this in your experience?

Are you stationed in Germany?? You should be able to find Speick stick in any "Drogerie", which is a chemist store in Germany. Also, many barber shops (Friseur) will sell them. My brother just called me, his barber has them and he is going to sell them to me when I go over to Germany, guess I am buying a whole case of them.

Well, a Barber perse you will not find, just go to a Friseur - hairdressers - most have a male and a female "department" - the male salon is normally the one with just a basic barber chair or two. That's where my brother buys this stuff.
Speick was - when I was living in Germany - easy to find in any store. I used Speick products most of my life and found it just in any super market. Wonder why it is so hard to find now?

I might try that. Not a bad plan.

Er, not sure how much they cost out here due to not seeing them yet. A tube of cream is just under 3Euros and AS just under 8 - when they can be found.

Not Germany, but Netherlands: I saw some here in Sluis (was there recently on a short holiday). They asked 4,50 for a 50 grams stick, so I only bought some Moos.

You can find them in pharmacies. But they don't always have them on stock. If they don't they will order it and have it in a couple of days. Ask for some Speick AS Lotion. That splash is awesome!!
Ohh a Speick stick usually costs just a bit over 3 Euros.

If you are a str8 razor shaver, it might interest you to know the shop owner also has a sharpening service and seems to have some pretty hot strops, pastes and other paraphernalia.

Speick is not as easy to find as it was a couple of years ago - but in my town both Naturata and Denn's Biomarkt (whole-food shops) sell the shaving range (stick, foam, balm, aftershave), shower products and several soaps. At least a Denn's can be found in Münster, the Naturata site seems to be down at the moment.
