Question about Muhle Brushes

I'm looking to upgrade my shaving brush. I currently use a Classic Pure Badger brush from Classic Shaving, it was in a starter kit given to me from my Fiance. This is the only brush I have ever used and I only face lather with it, so I have nothing to make comparisons with. I'm wanting to buy the Muhle Purist Black brush and I'm not sure if I should go with the silver-tip or the best badger. According to their website, the best badger is firmer than the silver-tip but I really have no idea if my current brush is considered a firm brush or not.

Not sure it this will help. I had a Muhle Travel brush in "Pure Badger" and I was seriously under whelmed by it. I like bushes with backbone, but it was skritchy as all hell. The handle was a great design, but the brush not so much. If I was buying my first good brush, I would go with a Simpson Colonel X2L in "Best Badger". Almost everybody says good things about them. You won't wonder whether you bought a good brush or not. Duke or Commodore would be reasonable choices also.
