Question about epoxy application

I have a quick question... after mixing my two part epoxy... how do I get it into the handle to set the knot? Should I be mixing in the handle itself, or is there an applicator I should invest in first, ie an epoxy syringe, brush of some type, etc?

In between the mixtures of the syringe is a mixer that can be broken free, I've used popsicle sticks, toothpicks, cotton swabs, no worries with this, mix it up then spread it in the handle and on the base of the knot (not much epoxy is needed).

I've mixed in the handle before but I prefer to mix on a different surface then transfer to the handle.

+1 This seems to be the best way to get a solid mix, unless the handle is hollow. I've filled hollow handles by putting the epoxy in a sandwich baggy, mixing it in the corner of the bag, then cutting a hole in the corner and spreading it evenly like icing into the handle. This even works for just setting the knot into the shelf, but you may mix more Epoxy than you actually use and that stuff isnt cheap.

I use pieces of Bamboo skewers and small 1 oz cups (like for jello shots). Mix up well in the lil cup, then apply the mixed glue with the same skewer into the hole; lets you adjust amount of glue quite well. A tip, less glue is more!! Too much glue may squeeze out and get into the badger hair. Don't ask me how I know....
