Queen Charlotte shave cream sampler

Just pulled the trigger and bought a sampler set from Queen Charlotte.
Cayman (Bay Rum)
Green Irish Tweed ( no clue, sounded interesting)
Key Lime ("Dry not sweet", sold me)
Mysore Sandalwood (Been wanting to try a sandalwood, so I went for it. CF may be next if I like this)
Rose Otto (rose seems popular and very traditional, what the heck)

I'll try to post my impressions of each cream over the next short while.

However this may offer an opportunity to discuss this manufacturer and their products.

Green Irish Tweed is a famous cologne by Creed. It is very similar to the Cool Water, and Aspen colognes as well.

My sample of creams arrived Thursday morning. So far I've tried the Provence and Vostok. Still have Tweed, Hanami and Monaco to go. Really like them so far, and this is the first time I've used a hard cream. (Don't care for soaps)

Funny how the only cream we got in common was the Tweed, and that was only a wildcard pick for me.

Yep I bought the same sampler, good results so far, and yes the Green Irish Tweed is my favorite by far. Smells a bit different/better than the rest of the scent samples I got.

QCS is pretty much my favorite "cream" (too hard for a cream, too soft for a soap???) - the face feel after the shave is amazing and the scents are great! Also love, love, love the bath soap and shampoo bars!

I have the Vostok Cream and love it so much I placed an order for two bars of Vostok bath soap along with Irish Tweed. They really do make an excellent product. Can you describe the fragrance of Hanami as I am very curious about that one.

Hanami smells very sweet and has cherry as a dominant scent. It is very pleasant, just very sweet.

You put together a nice sampler. Esquire is my favorite, but I also love Tangerine, Vostok, and Key Lime. Celestial Woods is great too-very earthy.

I'm a huge fan of the performance of the creams but haven't been wowed yet with scent. But I'm early in the process.

I traded for a 5-pack of samples a while back - Esquire, Monaco, Hanami, Cayman, and Basilica. Cayman is bay rum, and a good one at that. Esquire and Monaco are decent cologne-type scents. I typically love frankincense and myrhh, so I thought Basilica would be a no-brainer for me. Not so much. The QCS version is a bit too earthy to my nose. My least favorite of the five. On the contrary, Hanami was one that I never would have chosen from reading the description, and I liked it a lot. It's sweet, but it works for me. I find myself stealing smells from the jar every once in a while.

They're very solid performers. I will be ordering a full-sized tub once I work through some other stuff. I will most likely get GIT and matching balm, because I know that's a scent I like and will want to use a lot. If I wanted a bay rum soap/cream, Cayman would be my first choice.

I'm lousy at describing scents. Yeah, sweet cherry dominates, but there's something else there...maybe a green smell? Wasn't the biggest fan of this scent as a lather, but oddly enough, I couldn't stop sniffing the lingering scent left on my arms since I used the remaining lather on them. I think I like it.

I have been spoiled by easily worked creams like TOBS which almost creates a good lather by itself. Still looking for the sweet spot with QCS creams but when I do find it, I really like the lather and love the scents. Not "perfumey" or floral at all-- full bodied and...struggling for the right words--earthy?
