In my quest for a Bay rum / lime soap that I like, I decided to pick up a puck of this stuff. It was pretty cheap so I felt like if I didnt like it it would be no great loss.

Kind of smells like this:
For the rest of you who would prefer just a tad more elaboration:
I found it able to build a smooth and creamy lather. My soap lathering skills are kind of weak, so for me to be able to build a decent lather with it says a lot. The fact that it is a glycerine soap probably lent to that as well. It had a nice glide and the smell, although a little on the strong side was pleasant and carribean. I would describe it as "clovey" on the top, with a lingering hint of lime and a Bay R(h)um base. It rinsed off nicely and left the skin feeling a little tight, yet refreshed. Scent lasted about 25 minutes so far and while it is fading a bit, it is still quite detectable.
their description says:
Pirate’s Cove handmade pure glycerin Bay Rum & Lime Shaving Soap. is hand blended with pipettes using Shea Butter, Bay Rum Oil, Lime Essential Oil, Cocoa Butter, Vitamin E, & Rosemary Oil.Shea Butter is an all natural emollient & moisturizer derived from the fruit of the African Karite tree known for its anti-inflamatory properties as well as absorbing into skin without feeling greasy. Cocoa Butter and Vitamin E are well known for their natural antioxidant & moisturizing properties. Rosemary Oil is a natural astringent.,
Now, I dont know that I detected any rosemary...and I happen to like Rosemary so I think I would have noticed. Unless they were talking about this chick...
TL;DR If you like the clovey smelling bay rums... pick it up and give it a try. It's only $4. I think it had a good scent and performed well.
It actually inspired me to go pour a glass of Appleton Estate Extra 12yr.
As always, YMMV
