Proraso!

I received my package from bullgoose last night, I ordered 100 Iridiums, a blade bank and a large tube of Proraso. I wanted to try it out right away, however I decided to wait till morning so I can have a nice outdoor shower and shave. I awoke at 8 and it was about 50 degrees and the last of the nor'easter had gone. Time for some Proraso! I decided to put on a little opera outside to set the scene. I fired up the shower and the hot water started to make a ton of steam, perfect. After showering I gave my Rudy Vey a half squeeqe and a quick flip and placed a small dollop of Proraso in my small bowl( receiving a dirtybird for Christmas so I have to make do) I whipped it up around 25 laps, and instantly saw a very nice lather developing. I used some of the spray from the shower to add a little moisture and 20 seconds more I had a great lather that rivaled any I produced with the Tabac. I picked up my Red Tip, put in a new Iridium and almost dropped it, damn this lather is slick. Again while doing my WTG, the razor almost slipped when I was changing sides. I found that the blade glided effortlessly in all my passes. I don't know if it was the hot water, or the cold air temperature but the smell and effect of the Menthol was very pleasing. I completed my shave and examined my handiwork, BBS, no nicks. I rinsed, put on some Witch Hazel, and splashed on some cold water, face felt tight and smooth. I then put a little Clubman on to spite my wife  and began my day. I can't say enough of how much I enjoyed the Proraso. It will be used in a heavy rotation along with my Tabac. In fact I may need to look at adding some glycerine to the Tabac.

Great story... up until you got to the Clubman. Your wife has good taste.

I'm a 100% soap user with the exception of Proraso... it is amazing!

You could make your own shave stick with the Proraso Cream if you want!

I'm another Proraso fan! I’ve been using it for some years now and I’m really happy with it. I specially enjoy the freshness after each shave.

Proraso is also a firm favourite in my rotation (even if it might be a little neglected in the cooler weather). Great products!

I'm a big fan of Proraso. I like the "self timing" aspect. Whip it up . . . put it on your face . . . and wait until you actually feel the coolness. Place a hot cloth on your face for 30 to 45 seconds . . . re-lather and your beard is soft enough to shave . . . if I may say . . . very comfortably.

It is, for me, very close to being as protective as the tallow based soaps.

Today I went oustside again, and forgot my bowl, I did not want to go back in wet, so i decided to try to face lather. I put a small amount on each cheek and worked it in with my brush and in no time I had a beautiful lather! Got to love this stuff :thumbup1:

Terrific stuff! Have been super lathering with it and Williams of all things. Makes a decent lather though, and smells great!

Niceee!

How's the white tub and the balm? Do they all have the addicting smell of the original green tub? :thumbup1:
