I stopped using Proraso Green for some time since I thought I might have been mildly allergic to menthol. After enjoying Aqua Velva without any problems, i figured I would give it a try again last night. I think I had some problems with the soap drying out in the past, especially the pre-shave while I loaded the brush. I kept everything moist this time and achieved a superb shave. Followed it up with the Splash for that crispy cool zing. It's true that some product(s) do come into their own as technique and time advance. A great tidbit I picked up from the wise gents of B&B!

Glad Proraso worked for you this time. It's such a great soap.
Like most of us, I like to try different soaps and frequently find ones that I really enjoy. When I absolutely need a nice close shave and have little time to spare, I always reach for my tub of Proraso. It's a fantastic and reliable product.
I'm not a fan of the Proraso green, don't care for the menthol, but the white Proraso I find to be really nice. That's the one with the aloe.
Proraso white tub is great. I like the green but I love the white. I guess I didn't articulate myself very well in my earlier post. Either way, Proraso is a staple in my shaving arsenal.
Love the Green. Nice combo of eucalyptus and light menthol. Left the face a little tingly yet smooth and buttery, for a couple hours even. The aftershave was pleasant and I'm sure added to the effect, altho it was not especially long lasting in terms of scent.
I enjoy Proraso products as well. Need to give the Aftershave a try to go along with the pre/post and COB I have.

The AS splash is astonishingly effective but you don't get a lasting scent.

I've got some Proraso green on the way, should be with me tomorrow. I got a tube of cream and the pre/post shave balm. Was going to get the aftershave but seemed a bit excessive if the pre-shave could also be used afterwards.
