I know that Proraso was updating formulations, but I just became aware that some products are being discontinued. Do we have a comprehensive list somewhere of what products are definitively being discontinued? I mostly care about Proraso Pre/Post and also the Proraso white alcohol free aftershave balm. If yes, my question is "why in the world would Proraso abandon such wonderful products with huge followings?" I understand the importance of branding, new product launches, etc. I simply would have to think they are abandoning these terrific legacy products. I wanna know why????

Is the scent different from the old formula? I just ordered some yesterday along with the new formula white soap in the tub.
I've always had a tub of the old white formula in my rotation, love the scent.
The intensities of both the scent and feel of all formulas have been tampered with. Many note that the performance has increased, though.
The universe provides.
But what about the 500mL pre/post cream tubs?! Mine is almost 1/3 empty after 3 years of sporadic use...that leaves only 6 more years in my tub at the current rate of usage.
i really hope not because the green tea/aloe milk balm is my favorite. the new formula now shows oatmeal/green tea, so its making me think that in fact it has a different sent now.
if anyone can confirm please do so before i run out.
It's true. Why did they change the smell, why? It still feels good but it just doesn't smell right.

I could be wrong, but I think that the Pre-Post has only been repackaged. I don't use the balm, so I don't know about that.

I agree. I don't care for the smell of the new Green Tea & Oat balm compared to the classic liquid cream. I have not tried it yet so I may still like it as a performer, but I don't like the smell as much so I keep reaching for the old stuff.

Ha!! Good point. I want so badly to buy one of the big barber pots of cream but I just can't imagine how I would use it all given all the other stuff I have. Plus, I already have 4 of the little jars....2 of the regular and 2 of the green tea & oat. It'll probably take me a couple years just to go through those.

Conclusion:
In my opinion the reformulated products are fantastic - although they come with slightly less menthol and a slightly different fragrance, they continue to be first class shaving goods.
To me it looks like Proraso wanted to turn their somewhat harsh, medicinal 50s menthol bombs into slightly more sophisticated, extra fresh shaving essentials for both older and younger generations.
The discontinuation of the liquid cream aftershave pains me; it's that simple. They introduced the blue balm - which is nice enough - but it's definitely no replacement. They should rethink this decision.
The new white balm is great.
So is the new red shaving cream.

I have to disagree, however, on the performance of the new pre-shave. The old product had a creamier consistency than the new product; kind of like the difference between butter icing and sugar icing.
It's still good, but not as good; the performance of the old formula was better. IMO, of course.

I haven't seen a list. I consider all products that have not been shown with the redesigned packaging to be discontinued. It doesn't make sense to use two different logos.
The old pre- and post-creams are now sold as pre-creams only. New formula, but I don't know how the new one performs post-shave. Many vendors still label them as pre- and post-cream, but if you read the label it's only pre-cream.

Timmy Dee, that's funny! I'm actually 1/3 of the way through my 500 mL 6 monhts in, but I use mine every shave
