What's new

Proras-oh!

I've just acquired my very first Proraso product -- the pre/post shave cream -- and I have fallen in love with the scent. (I was worried that it might just smell like Vicks vaporub, which is how I've seen some describe it, but I'm not getting that at all from the jar.) Can anyone tell me if the shaving cream smells exactly the same? If it does, I'm going to need to get some immediately...

Thanks,
G.K.

...and the soap. But to me they perform the just the same. The soap just looks like a hardened version of the cream, and probably is.

If you like the scent the AS splash is a must. Very soothing, and has the menthol cool down. One of the best for burn and irritation IMO.

The pre post also does a good job in that regard. Best to apply to a damp face, and don't use too much or it will feel tacky. It goes a long way.

Thanks, both, for the answers and advice. It's good to know that there's a whole world of Proraso just waiting to be explored...

The aftershave balm isn't too shabby either. Not scented like the rest of the line but does a remarkable job of healing and soothing after a rough or even average shave. I usually save Proraso for Sundays. It's always something to look forward to because I use all 4 products. The result is consistantly a great shave.

Just a suggestion: get the entire range of products Proraso has on the market (pre-shave, shaving cream and soap, aftershave splash and balm).
They are all cheap and truly amazing.
You won't be disappointed.

I think that I'm going to have to do this. I just wish that Proraso products were easily available in shops in the UK. (I can see that you're in Italy, so finding them clearly isn't a problem for you!)

Very well George, I think this is the right choice!
And yes, I have no problem finding Proraso here in Italy.
But I do believe that you are much more lucky than me, being in the UK...
With the exception of Proraso, Castle Forbes, T&H and GFT, are my favourite shaving creams and they are all made in your country.
You, lucky mate...

+1....few better values on the market out there. I regularly use the pre/post, shave cream, green tub soap, white tub soap, aftershave splash and balm. My favorite all around collection!

I agree they are all fine products, now that summer is on its way gives everyone a good reason to try the cooling effects of the products.
