I was taught to hang wooden-handled brushed upside down to protect them from rot.
There was another thread discussing this hanging vs. standing issue and the thought seemed to be that it didn't matter much in the long run. I shake mine out and hang them for a day or two and then the next time I shave I rotate in the next brush (I only have the one stand).
Great idea!!!I have a 1460. I just shake it, give it a gentle squeeze, then set it on my desk bristles up. I have used it almost every day for over a year with no issue whatsoever. Hmmm, I only have one brush. Maybe I will splurge on a whippeddog silver tip.
