Profumum question

So far I've tried Antico Caruso, Ambra aurea and Fumidus in a local shop. They have no Arso there. Of the three I tried, all were very good. Are there any other male scents from this house that you've found interesting?

Santalum seemed like a great sandalwood in a brief test.

Aqua di Sale seems to be a potent take on a marine scent that smells a little too literally like the beach to some people. I never tried, but knew a guy who liked it a lot. But reviews are a bit over the top down on it.

I have tried a couple...and really liked the santalum and olibanum scents, but I just wish they sold 50ml bottles for half the price. I didn't like either of them enough to purchase a full 100ml, especially at the price.

Arso is the only one I've tried that I really like, which doesn't help you. I'm intrigued by Fumidus in theory, but I don't want to smell like scotch.

That one was mildly nauseating to me. Literally. Someone here posted that it works best when applied very sparingly.

Will second the votes for Olibanum and Santalum, they are both fantastic.

I'll add Victrix, which is amazing.

And if you like patchouli, try Thundra. It's toned down by some mint and has a green edge but is still earthy.

Eccelso is worth a try, as is Fiori d'Ambra, but neither of them really wow me the way the others do.

Apparently Profumum sells smaller sizes but only at their flagship store in Italy. Doesn't help unless you know someone.

Thanks all.

I try all that you mentioned if I find it. Only Eccelso and Thundra rings a bell from what I remember that I saw on the shelves. Maybe I'm wrong. Santalum, maybe.
I'm 'confined' to 100ml bottles also, so I'll think more than twice before making this choice.

The smoky part is very short and only in the beginning, the rest of Fumidus is vetiver.
