Get to try a slant on the cheap-ish. Beats dropping the $47 on a merkur... Not an awful price either considering that russian head on a wretched looking plastic handle was being sold for $28 bin recently I think. Probably the waiting window turned some guys off. Anyway, apologies if I outbid one or two of you.Will let you know how it goes and post some better pics when it gets here in about a month.

You have to love state-controlled production. Almaz was one of the USSR's main air defense missile builders. Apparently, they made razors, too.

Yep, one of those bidders was me.. Got busy with the Missus(are you two in cahoots?) and missed the end... 2nd time this week she's done that... Hope you enjoy the Slant!!

Oooh, sorry about that.. It went fairly cheap in my eyes. I was quitting at $30ish and figured it may ebb to $40 as the plating was good on it and the plastic handled ones sold fast at $28 (if I recall) bin before s&h. I think the description and the main photo being in the case obstructing the slant kept it down.

Hopefully, it blasts the hair off my face in short order... The straight razors form russia that these sellers post seem quite nice, but I'd need to ask the guys in the straight forum what the deal is.
