Post Your Wish List of Guns: Preferably in Order of Desire

OkieStubble

Dirty Donuts are so Good.
Here's a short list of mine:

1. Springfield Champion 1911 .45 ACP (have to wait on retirement for this one)
2. Glock 20 10mm
3.Browning Hi-Power 9mm
4. Marlin 1895 SBL Lever Action 45-70
5. M-1 Carbine .30 Not necessarily a USGI surplus, but wouldn't turn one down for the right price. :)
6. Henry Golden boy .22 LR
7. Older Winchester LA .44 mag
8. Find a reasonably priced pre 64' Winchester model 70 in 30.06
9. A S&W Mountain in .44 mag. Either a model 629 or an older 29.
10. Either a Browning Buck Mark or a Ruger Single Six with dual cylinders in .22 LR and Magnum

This put me on top of the mountain and satisfy my gun lust. At least for a few years. :)

What's yours?

First of all, I'm not fussy about brands. I'm more of a "style and type" guy. I do however have a soft spot for old Sears and Roebuck guns, as well as anything vintage/antique. Modern firearms hold little to no interest for me.

Also, all of my shotgun choices would be in 16 gauge if the ammo were more readily available.

1: Side-by-side 12 gauge shotgun
2: Nagant revolver
3: Martini-Henry (or something similar with the falling block action)
4: Top break revolver
5: Mauser rifle
6: .357 magnum revolver
7: 1911 (original or otherwise)
8: Cap and ball revolver
9: Pump action 12 gauge
10: Lever action rifle

I'll also buy something not on this list if it so strikes my fancy at a store or show.

1. A Krag in nice shape
2. A Barrett Fieldcraft in either 7mm-08 or 6.5 Creed or 308
3. A classic Steyr Mannlicher in 6.5x54
4. Colt Python in excellent shape
5. A mummy wrapped No4Mk2 Enfield
6. A NULA 20 from Melvin Forbes, in 22-250 or 22 Creed with an 8 twist barrel set up for 88 grain ELDs

Many many more but these are off the top of my head.

Just 2 come to mind at this particular time, and depending on the day, the calibre changes....

A Henry lever action in either 22 or 357.

I've got a young friend coming over tomorrow afternoon to shoot. I'll try to give a range report!

Dirty Donuts are so Good.
2: Nagant revolver

I had to google this...

A nice M18 or pre M18 S&W

K22, very nice. And very expensive.

2. A Barrett Fieldcraft in either 7mm-08 or 6.5 Creed or 308

Wow...

Winchester pre-64 Mod 70 in .270 Win.

I originally thought .270, but then decide on .06 because I have a Savage in .270. But I think I will change mine to .270 also and just get a Savage in 30.06.

SIG 220 10 mm

Interesting. That's a handful of pistol grip.

I don't know enough about what I want yet,
-Colt Gold Cup .45 ACP

Lol'd. Looks like you know enough to open your wallet for a Gold Cup? ;)

-Sig Sauer Emperor Scorpion .45 ACP

I know a guy who got the 938 Scorpion. He loves the gun, but was really disappointed in how fast the Scorpion finish started wearing off. I wonder if the Scorpion finish is the same across all models?

Great list!

Too Fugly For Free.
I'm at the other end of the spectrum right now. There's not many guns I actively want and about ten I'd like to sell.

To try to stay within the lines and not sound like a sales solicitation:

A Dan Wesson (Monson) Pointman/Patriot experimental 45acp.
Three HP clones.
A first generation HS2K (became the Springfield Xd).
An all matching Yugo 48A w/crest.
An SKS.
Another Mauser with a replacement polymer stock.
A few Dirt-Thirty Levers.

In kinda wants:

a nice 38/200 Enfield.
a Beretta Compact PX4 Storm 9mm.
an old 32 S&W Long swing out (or take out) cylinder revolver.

S&W Model 19 (not the current model)
Ruger Single-Six Convertible
Colt Delta Elite 10mm
Browning BLR in .243

I left off several S&W revolvers from my original list
S&W M 19 3 in.
S&W M29 Mountain Gun .44 mag. (I have 625 .45LC and 57 .41mag MGs)
S&W 27 or 28 (had a Hwy Patrolman years ago)
S&W 25 .45 LC 6 in.
S&W 57 .41 mag. 6 in.
this could go on for pages....
and several Ruger Blackhawks.... .30 Carbine, .357mag., .41 mag., .44 mag., etc., etc.

Short list for me...A 1928 Thompson with half a dozen full moon drums ,a COLT SAA first generation Turnbull restoration ,
TH1.jpg
TH2TURNBULL.jpg
TH3.jpg
THLEWIS.jpg
a Burp gun , and a fully restored Lewis ....

Browning Citori GradeVII Blue Lightning in .28 gauge. Out of production and North of $5000.00. (Not holding my breath)

M1 Garand.

Colt Python.

Windham AR-10

Browning SA.22, Grade III. I've always loved the idea of a very small lightweight .22 that broke down easily and reassembled nearly so. Grade three to have some nice engraving and a touch of gold, but not so much I wouldn't actually carry it in the field and use it as a favorite plinker... I've loved that gun since I was knee-high to a tortoise. It's kinda like an ultralight 28 gauge for an ol'shotgunner; still lots of fun, just not quite so much smoke and mule.

P.S. I just looked, looks like today it would be a current production Grade iV in greyed. (Maybe sometime this year - after I build the 4-foot long suppressor box to quietly shoot from my garage?)

It wouldn't surprise me if it was like this with most Sig finishes. I've heard quite a few complaints that the Legion Grey finish wears away quickly as well.

That would suck, because if I was ever to by a gun, just based solely on the way it looks, it would be a Legion.

6. Glock 17 MOS Gen 5
