Post Shave Skin Care

Greetings,
I shave at night after showering. I do not like to use aftershave at that time. I typically use Proraso for my pre-post shave. However I would like to find something that would held with the dryness I experience. Any thoughs would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Victor

Do you normally moisturize your skin? I'm not sure where you live, but cold winter air is particularly harsh on the face. After I shave in the morning, I treat my face with an after shave balm or with a separate moisturizer.

After shaving at this time o'year, I use Proraso Liquid Cream A/S. Cella shaving soap seems to help, too. I work outdoors a lot, so before going to work I throw on a little more Proraso Liquid Cream.

A Talc finish is quite nice this time of year and leaves the face soft and dry. There are a number of scented talcs that are excellent. Yardley (several scents), Clubman, Floris 89, etc.

My opinion:
AT night, I only like to wash my face with warm water (maybe some hot towel treatment) and that's it...

Since you shave at night, I recommend keeping it simple...apply some Thayer's Toner or astringent and go to bed...simple and clean

A dime sized dab of jojoba oil works at night. It aborbs very quickly and washes off of your hands easily under running water.

I find that Nivea ASB for sensitive skin works really well for me. I live in a colder climate, and have found that it has become a necessity for me to use it every day.
Perhaps in the summer I will need to use it less.

I have super dry skin as well in the winter. I usually apply Nivea after shave balm and occasionally some Cetaphil face lotion on top for the really dry days.
