Positive experiences with Westcoastshaving and BullGoose

I don't know if this is the right forum, but I thought I'd post some positive experiences with westcoastshaving.com and bullgooseshaving.com.

In short, they both have a lot of shaving gear to choose from, and in several orders I have experienced no problems at all.

The reason I'm posting now is that I placed an order for a Merkur slant 39c Sledgehammer from BullGoose, and the email I received seemed like a personal one from Phil that said, "I am glad to see you back!" I was very pleasantly surprised to see that he was aware that I had ordered from him just recently. I found the personal touch both very unusual but also very welcome. Henceforth, when I need shaving gear in the future, I will remember who treated me well. It seems like customer service is frequently forgotten, so I wanted to bring this up to give positive feedback and kudos.

Phil, if you are reading this, thanks again!
 
I just bought some gear from Phil over the long weekend and have to second his attention to service. Top-notch vendor.

Email tracking info on Monday morning
Well-packed, with packing slip.
Clean and easy.
 
I've also had very positive experiences with both vendors. I buy most of my gear from these two, because they are local to me and I get stuff within a day or two. Both WCS and Bullgoose offer the best customer service around!
 
phil is indeed a great guy to buy from. i've ordered stuff on friday night, had it ship out saturday morning and be on my door monday by noon.

nothing against wcs, i've bought from them too and never had a problem.
 
They're both great and I'll continue to order from both. It just depends which one has what I need in stock and what is on sale. They both excel in customer service and will continue to feed my AD.

That's almost exactly what I was going to say.
 
I buy a lot of software and John and Phil do a wonderful job of filling and shipping. Anybody could that. But the personal attention they give goes above and beyond. There is absolutely no way I could be more satisfied with either one of them. I just ordered from Bullgoose this week and mistakenly chose the expedited shipping, by the time I got in touch with Phil, it had already been shipped. When I called, we ended up talking for probably 20-25 minutes, and I was just amazed by the fact that he would take that much time out of his busy day to shoot the breeze with me. Kudos to both.
 
I've placed and order with both of these vendors and they are top notch!!

Whenever I hear about shaving products on this forum that interest me. They are the first 2 sites I go to.
 
Did my starter razor and blades from WCS. The great customer service has led me to come back for more supplies again and again. Just recently made first purchase with bull goose. I received a personalized email thanking me for my business and a update on my order when it shipped. Awesome vendors no doubt.
 
I recently placed an order with WCS and they sent me the wrong skinfood. I shot the website an email and received one back quickly that said (paraphraed), "the correct one has been shipped, use the box to send back the incorrect one and let us know how much postage was so we can refund it". Absolutely fantastic service from an actual customer service rep. I'll definitely be using them again.
 
Almost Everything I've ever ordered has been from WCS

34hd, EJ89BA, Slant, skinfood, Praraso (green and white cream and preshave), simpsons brush, a stand, blade sampler, blades (at least 150 blades).

This has been a compilation of all that I've bought from them. They offer great value, customer service and selection. I'm buying from Canada and not enough could be said about WCS. =)
 
I have ordered from Bullgoose in the past and received a handwritten "thank you" on the receipt. A nice touch. I am a little concerned about the front end of the sales process. There have been a couple times when I had a question about a product and sent an email AND left a voicemail. Both times there was no response what so ever. Not sure if he is a full service retailer or just an order taker. I am in a different kind of a sales for my own profession and find it unusual that there would be NO response to a past customer with a question. Business must be wonderful!
I have had good response from the many other businesses that sell wet shaving supplies that I have made purchases. That is where my future business will be going.

I'm surprised to hear that. I messaged BullGoose (I believe Phil) via this website (not email) and received a response in a day. Admittedly, that is my only experience with direct communication, but it was prompt and answered a question on the fiber version of an Omega brush.
