Pils shaving angle

As a point of order here, I will clarify that the blade angle is the same, more or less. The handle is what changes, due to some razors being designed with flatter or more curved heads.

With the PILS, the handle will be closer to a right angle than most other razors. Another way to say it is that the handle will be closer to perpendicular than with most razors. It's due to the flattened head design - it's the antithesis of the Merkur Progress or Bakelite, which have VERY curved heads, resulting in the handle making a more acute angle with respect to the face.

In either case, the BLADE angle goal is still around 30°

It took me a little while to get the angle right with my Pils, luckily it's a fairly forgiving razor in that respect.

I had been shaving with a Muhle R89 which has a pronounced curve to the head and it did take some adjustment to find the optimum angle with the Pils.
