Which ones are in your top five?I have two P&B soap (had 3, gave away one due to ammonia). But I think the ammonia issue have already been resolved.
Performance wise, I do love the performance, just slightly short of making my top 5, but easily up there with the big names.

Is the Barrister reserve range better than its other ones? I was looking at the Cheshire soap as well as some of the reserve ones.Phoenix and Beau make great soaps and are quite deserving of your money. But you’ve asked a tough question. I’d be inclined to say only B&M’s Reserve line tops P&B’s. Cheers.

Darn, that just made my decision all the harder. Do you mean the 'Imperial Rum' version?I have the Bay Spice. It's one of the best lathering soaps I have. The scents are very distinctive. It's up there with Wholly Kaw
Yes. I just lent it to @Retiredgene he loves the smell. Curious how he likes the performance. He has many more soaps and years of experience to make an accurate comparison.Darn, that just made my decision all the harder. Do you mean the 'Imperial Rum' version?
Bizarrely, I've yet to get to B&M soaps, but P&B are at the top of my Euro-focused soap collection. One of those thick, slick soaps that's impossible not to get a great lather from. (Although I find Spitfire to be a great scent but a little too strong for me, especially early in the morning; I need a coffee inside me before I can take that one on.)
I haven't seen the Albion in my local store, but I saw a limited edition 'Oberon' one which sounded intriguing based on the scent. But probably not worth the extra money really. Torn right now between the P&B and the Barrister Reserve, but I think I might go with the Phoenix ultimately.I'll put in a good word for Albion - one of my favorite scents. Check that out too if it's available to you. The soap is excellent and gives as good a shave as the Reserve IMO. The only difference I perceive is in post-shave feel; I think B&M outpaces P&B in this area by a little. P&B is no slouch though in this area.
