Does Grey Flannel smell like old men, or do old men smell like Grey Flannel?
I found this 3.4oz bottle kicking around my local Marshall's store (along with about a dozen more).
I had seen others post about it, but never about the smell, so I took the plunge for $7.99.
Wow. Not an amazed wow, but a kind of a "that's funny, but not haha funny" wow. Super strong, almost overbearing. It is as if a flower truck collided with a spice market and a baby powder factory all of which soon caught on fire. No matter how you categorize the notes, it smells of old man...almost more old man like than sniffing an actual old man. I used this after a great valobra and Gem single edge shave. It kept making me think Pinaud truly hit the nail on the head with how much perfume should be with every ounce of AS...mostly because this felt like wayyyy too much. The feel was surprisingly good, but the smell was staggering...I was worried my neighbors could smell it. Slowly it morphed into a rose and talc scent that felt clumsy. I think I may keep this just to smell and ponder about from time to time. I know some really enjoy the old man scent and I feel like this must be a go-to for you gents.
